Time’s running out to get your nomination in
Nominations to contest the by-election to fill the vacancy for the Botany subdivision of the Howick Local Board close at 12 noon this Thursday, 22 December.

Mark Johnson (Labour) and Mike Turinsky (Practical Not Political) have put their names forward as candidates to become the third representative for the Botany subdivision on the nine-member Howick Local Board.
If you want to stand there’s still time to get your nomination in but you’ll need to hurry up.

Here’s a checklist of what you need to do:
To stand as a candidate you need to be:
· Over the age of 18
· A New Zealand citizen registered on the electoral roll
· Have two electors enrolled in the Botany subdivision nominate you. (Check the boundaries here or go to a local library or service centre)
· Each nomination must be accompanied by a deposit of $200 GST incl.
· Complete and sign the nomination form and return it by post or hand to:
- Electoral Office: Level 2, 198 Federal Street, Central City
- Botany Library: Level 1 Sunset Terrace, Botany Town Centre
· Get your nomination in by noon on Thursday 22 December.
