Air New Zealand’s Grabaseat unveils Goody Goody giveaways

Sweet deals including international and domestic flight giveaways are on offer today as Grabaseat lifts the lid on a giant tub of Goody Goody Grabaseat treats at Karanga Plaza in Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter.

At 12 noon Grabaseat will unveil a pool-sized tub styled as Goody Goody Grabaseat ice cream filled with 40,000 green and coloured recyclable plastic balls. Punters can dive into the 16 cubic metre ball pit to hunt for the coloured balls which are coded to giveaways including return flights to Vietnam, Buenos Aires, Sydney, Fiji as well domestic destinations throughout New Zealand. There will also be Goody Goody Gum Drops ice cream for all.

Those who can’t make the Auckland event can still be part of the sweet spectacle through live streaming on Grabaseat’s Facebook page, which kicks off from 12.00pm.

The event precedes tomorrow’s Grabaseat one-day mega sale which promises to be one of its biggest yet.

Air New Zealand General Manager Market Development and Retail Sales Annabelle Fowler says Grabaseat appeals to Kiwis’ love of impromptu adventure and today’s stunt will get customers thinking about their next trip.

“Grabaseat’s quirky promotions have become something of a Kiwi institution, so what better way to celebrate the last of summer than with a Grabaseat twist on an ice cream classic.

“More than 26,000 people visit Grabaseat on average every day, collectively snapping up two million deals in the past 10 years. With cut-rate fares to international destinations and domestic offers for as little as $19 one way we’re expecting tomorrow’s Goody Goody sale to be another sell-out success.”
