New Chair of ECCT elected
Horowhenua accountant and
company director Shelly Mitchell-Jenkins has been elected as
the new Chair of Eastern and Central Community Trust (ECCT),
replacing Geoff Milner from Gisborne.
“I have no doubt that Shelly will lead ECCT through some exciting changes ahead,” Mr Milner says.
A director of chartered accounting practice Colbert Cooper, and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Mrs Mitchell-Jenkins holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University. She was appointed to the ECCT Board in June 2013, and also serves as a director of Electra Limited, the Kapiti-Horowhenua lines company, Levin Charitable Trust and Horowhenua Scholarship Trust.
“I’m delighted to step into the role of Chair at such an exciting time. ECCT is developing a new funding strategy based on research and feedback from our community, which we will be rolling out in the coming months.
“I would like to thank Geoff Milner for his leadership over the past four years, and I’m sure he will continue to make an excellent contribution to the Trust,” Mrs Mitchell-Jenkins says.
