Quad Bike Accident on Tangimoana Beach
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched just after 7.30 pm on Monday 6 November, to Tangimoana Beach, approximately 2km south of the Rangitikei River mouth, to a scene of a quad bike accident. The Tangimoana Volunteer Fire Brigade were also in attendance.
A 13-year-female had been riding on the beach when she hit a large piece of driftwood, sustaining serious head, and chest injuries. The girl was stablised at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Palmerston North Hospital for treatment.
