Turangi auction and dinner for an excellent cause
Turangi auction and dinner for an excellent cause
A charity auction will take place outside the Century 21 office at the Turangi Town Centre at 1.00pm on Saturday, 13 January 2018.
Organised by Century 21 Premier (Turangi), this year all net proceeds will go to the St Johns Tuwharetoa Youth Division.
Auction items will include restaurant vouchers, sporting goods, motel accommodation, household and personal items, and much more. The auctioneer will be local Century 21 salesperson Roger Webb.
Then at 5.00pm on 13 January, a ‘Wild Foods’ charity dinner will kick off at the Turangi Senior Citizens Club, featuring a Bee Gees tribute band.
Promoted as an evening of ‘wild foods, live music and dancing’, a top chef from the prestigious Tongariro Lodge will deliver the three-course dinner which will include canapes, buffet mains and dessert as well as a cash bar.
Local Century 21 franchise owner, Wai Johnson, says depending on the amount raised at both events they would also like to donate to the proposed new St John Ambulance station building.
“As part of our company ethos and being locally owned and operated, we believe in giving back to our community. Every year we hold a charity auction for local charities and volunteer services. Our 2017 auction raised over $5,000 for the Turangi Coastguard,” says Ms Johnson.
“For 2018 we decided to make the event even larger and incorporate a charity dinner after the auction. We’re expecting about 100 people to attend the dinner, which will be an awesome evening,” she says.
Tickets to the charity dinner cost $100 per person, and include one complimentary drink. Proceeds from the evening will also go to the St Johns Tuwharetoa Youth Division.
To purchase the limited tickets, phone Roger Webb on (027) 232-7707 or pop into the Century 21 Premier (Turangi) office, Shop 67, Turangi Town Centre.
“The
Turangi team at Century 21 are totally committed to the
local community they serve, and this charity auction and
dinner are an excellent initiative. What’s more the St
Johns Tuwharetoa Youth Division is a great local cause,”
says Century 21 New Zealand National Manager, Geoff
Barnett.
