Free Spark wifi across the South Island

Free Spark wifi across the South Island

Media Advisory

With a state of emergency now declared in two South Island cities, Spark has opened up its wifi hotspots to provide free data for all Kiwis in the South Island.

The remnants of Tropical Cyclone Fehi has caused severe flooding and evacuations, and free wifi will help those who are displaced to stay in touch with friends and family.

There are more than 203 Spark wi-fi zones in the South Island, that are now free for existing Spark customers as well as non-customers.

Anyone within range of a Spark wi-fi hotspot, can simply search for the Spark network (named "Spark wi-fi zone") and click to join the network, with no password required.
