Progress results of Auckland Council by-elections

Following by-elections for the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board (Tāmaki subdivision) and the Waitākere Ranges Local Board, Electoral Officer Dale Ofsoske has announced the following progress voting results:

Maria Meredith has been provisionally elected as a member of the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board. Progress results are:

Maria Meredith (Labour), 2500 votes
Todd Morah, 1217 votes
Leanne Cross (Independent), 735 votes
Hainoame Tutama Fulivai (Independent), 576 votes
Patrick O’Meara, 310 votes
Thomas Rawiri, 250 votes
Annalucia Vermunt (Communist League), 106 votes
Ken Turner has been provisionally elected as a member of the Waitākere Ranges Local Board. Progress results are:

Ken Turner (WestWards), 3812 votes
Michelle Clayton (Independent), 2038 votes
Tiaria Fletcher (FutureWest), 1536 votes
Rob Gore, 908 votes
These are progress results only as not all votes have been counted. The final results are expected to be available later today. A further media advisory will be issued at that time.
