Take a virtual tour around Te Pae

A virtual tour around the outside of Te Pae is now available to assist with the international marketing of the convention centre.

Ōtākaro Limited Strategy and Property Opportunities General Manager, Keith Beal says the animation has been created to show event organisers that Te Pae will be an eye-catching facility.

“Te Pae is a purpose-built convention and exhibitions facility designed to make the most of the neighbouring Avon River and Victoria Square, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience both inside and out.

The animation shows in greater detail how the façade reflects the colours and contours of Canterbury’s iconic braided rivers and the Southern Alps.

The natural beauty and experiences the South Island offers is vital in attracting people to Te Pae and this is reinforced inside the building through the extensive use of timber and stone.”

The virtual tour will be further developed to showcase the auditorium, exhibition hall, meeting rooms and banquet hall to assist with the booking process.

“The animation will help the new Director of Sales for Te Pae, Gillian Officer, to secure events from late 2020 onwards. Gillian was previously the Director of Sales – Conventions and Outcatering at SkyCity, so is an established figure in the sector and a welcome addition to our team.” says Mr Beal.
