Hitting the right notes this Christmas

Get the vocal chords ready, and start planning your float as the theme of the Upper Hutt 2018 Santa Parade is ‘Christmas Carols’ and now is the time to plan your wonderful float!

UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 24 AUG 2018 – The much-loved Santa Parade is back for 2018 with a brand new theme of ‘Christmas Carols’, bringing sweet sounds to Main Street on Sunday 2 December at 3:00 PM.

An invitation is extended to all business and community groups operating in Upper Hutt to join this community event and enter a ‘Christmas Carols’ themed float in the 2018 Santa Parade. Think Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer rolling down the street, Snoopy’s Christmas flying in for a visit, or Jingle Bells rocking the block!

There is a $1,000 prize for the float that best reflects the theme of ‘Christmas Carols’ and a $250 prize for the People’s Choice Award, voted for on social media in the week following the parade.

Get creative and start planning your best Christmas Carols float idea and put it to your school, club or your boss to make it a reality! Register your float on our website at upperhuttcity.com/santa-parade

To make the festive period even more exciting this year, H2O Xtream Aquatic Centre will be hosting a ‘Festive Fun Day’ to complement the Santa Parade. Come along and experience great inflatable challenges and fun games from 12 - 3:00 PM. There will be activities to suit all ages. Then after the parade, meet and have your photo taken with Santa himself until 6:00 PM before he heads back to the North Pole. More information on the Festive Fun Day will be available on the H2O Xtream website and Facebook in October at h2oxtream.com
