Mauao Base Track And Moturiki Closed
Both Moturiki (Leisure Island) and the Mauao base track are closed due to high swells caused by ex-Cyclone Tam. Signage and barriers will be in place until further notice - this closure is to ensure public safety so please respect these guidelines. The track to walk up Mauao remains open, however we recommend avoiding this track as the storm remains active and falling debris is a possibility in these conditions. In general, we strongly urge the public to stay away from coastal areas until the weather has eased.
