The second Round Robin of the Louis Vuitton Cup (the Challenger Selection Series for the XXX America's Cup) started Today.

Team Prada will sail with the boat Luna Rossa ITA 45 again, as in Round Robin One.

Luna Rossa will race tomorrow against FAST2000 (skipper Marc Pajot), the Swiss team who unveiled their boat last Saturday showing the revolutionary configuration with two keels.

Francesco de Angelis, skipper and helmsman of Luna Rossa, declared today during the opening press conference: "Like everybody else we have been very busy during the past few days. We went sailing with both boats. We used our time to improve small things. We worked on the boats, mast and on crew manouvering. We had also time to plan some changes for the future".

All the teams except the Swiss made some modifications to their boats which will thus race in this round with a new measurement certificate.

The racing schedule is the same as Round Robin One, but only one race per day is scheduled instead of two (with the exception that two races per day will be held if the Race Committee is running short of time to conclude the round).

Each yacht will receive 4 points per win, whilst in Round One each victory was worth 1 point only. The starting signal shall not be made before 12.10 local time unless the Committee announces its intention to run two races per day.

Matches 1,2 and 3 will be run on the Atlantic course, matches 4 and 5 on Pacific. The first boat listed in the pairing denotes port entry at the start line.

The race course is a windward-leeward format as in Round One, but the yachts will complete three laps instead of two for a total of 18.5 nautical miles.
