NZ's Largest Professional Body Chooses SEEK

New Zealand’s Largest Professional Body Chooses SEEK

Employment Website Scores Online Recruitment Coup

Auckland – 11 December 2000 SEEK, voted New Zealand’s best online employment site, has announced that it has signed a partnership deal with New Zealand’s largest professional organisation - the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

The partnership will see SEEK provide the Institute’s 26,000 members with its leading edge employment site technology and design, and marks an online recruitment coup, SEEK’s business development manager, Patrick Pruett, says.

“In October visitors to SEEK increased by 20 percent, totalling over 79,000. This success, combined with partnering with New Zealand’s leading professional body in the world of accounting and finance, will quickly position SEEK as New Zealand’s leading online recruitment site.”

Pruett says Institute members will gain direct links to the SEEK site and services, as well as having access to a site specifically designed to help them find the perfect finance or accountancy job candidate.

The Institute was looking to offer its members additional benefits. With a constant strong demand for qualified chartered accountants in New Zealand, it wanted to help accountancy candidates and jobs find each other.

Pruett says by linking with SEEK, the Institute will give members direct access to the hundreds of accounting and finance vacancies available daily on the SEEK web site.

“This number of vacancies in this field totals more than 300 jobs, this accounts for 10 percent of all jobs available on the SEEK site.

“Through SEEK, the Institute’s members can take advantage of the Internet and its power to reduce recruitment costs and improve their hiring processes,” says Pruett.

The partnership will also give SEEK a role in future the Institute’s professional development courses, allowing it to offer its expertise on the Internet as a key tool in recruitment.
