Whaimutu Dewes Appointed To AMP NZ Advisory Board

Whaimutu Dewes has been appointed a member of the AMP New Zealand Advisory Board.

AMP is New Zealand’s largest financial services company managing over $10 billion
of funds and servicing over 300, 000 customers.

Mr Dewes is Chairman of Chatham Processing Ltd and Ngati Porou Whanui Forests Ltd. He is also a Director of Sealord Products Ltd. He has extensive leadership experience, serving as a Director of Television New Zealand for five years and was a member of the Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission from 1990 to 2000.

Managing Director of AMP NZ Financial Services John Drabble said he welcomed the appointment. “The financial services market is rapidly changing and we are constantly looking to take advantage of new opportunities. Whaimutu’s experience will add further perspective to the sound leadership already provided by the Advisory Board.”

Mr Dewes joins current members John Palmer, Murray Gough, Doug Ritchie and Andrew Mohl. The AMP New Zealand Advisory Board is chaired by Rosanne Meo.
