Mobil drops fuel price

For immediate release 27 February 2001

Mobil drops fuel price

Mobil Oil New Zealand is leading the latest reduction in the price of fuel - announcing a drop of 3 cent per litre (cpl, including GST) in the wholesale price of all fuels, effective today.

The reduction will take pump prices in main cities to around 108.9 cpl for regular grade petrol, 113.9 for premium grade and 69.9 cpl for diesel.

Mobil spokesperson Kimberley Allan said motorists will see the pump prices fall up to 3 cpl this afternoon at Mobil company operated sites.

Kimberley Allan said the price reduction reflected a recent fall in the cost of refined product and that Mobil was committed to passing on savings to motorists as quickly as possible.

“Naturally, Mobil will continue to pass on any further savings and we advise motorists to keep an eye on our price boards for the latest fuel price information.”
