Top United States Insurer Salutes Millennium Hotel Queenstown

Queenstown's Millennium Hotel has won high praise from a top US insurer, following a major conference in the southern resort.

Allstate Insurance provides insurance products to more than 14 million North American households. Earlier this month, the Illinois-based company flew 328 top qualifiers from across the US, to Queenstown for their "Inner Circle Conference 2001".

At the end of the New Zealand conference, Allstate Sales Director Jim Claudio met with Millennium Queenstown management, and described the Queenstown experience as 'world class'.

"Travelling the world - New York, Rome, Paris - we have experienced some of the best hotels," he says.

"But Millennium Hotel Queenstown has exceeded our expectations. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for the service you provided, with friendly and helpful staff."

"The food and beverage service experienced in the Observatory Restaurant was the best in Queenstown."

The American visitors have presented the hotel's General Manager John Clarke, with a framed poster and plaque which reads: 'Presented to The Millennium Hotel Queenstown. Thank you for keeping us in "Good Hands". 2001 Inner Circle Conference.'

Mr Clarke says the positive feedback is great news for the hotel, and for Queenstown.

"This was a major event for everyone involved," he says. "Staff at Millennium Hotel Queenstown spent two years planning and preparing for the arrival of the Allstate VIPs."
