Graeme S Hawkins: Director’s Biography

Graeme Hawkins is Chairman of Robinson Industries Ltd and a director of Tower Managed Funds Ltd, Biomed Ltd, (Super 12) Blues Ltd, Bay of Plenty Co-operative Fertiliser Company Ltd and Cavalier Corporation Ltd. He is a former director of more than another dozen companies and organisations including Bay Milk Products Ltd and Northland Co-operative Dairy Company Ltd.

From 1969 until 1982, Mr Hawkins was employed by the Fletcher Challenge Group and he rose to be General Manager, Finance and Planning, for the manufacturing and merchandising section of the company with annual revenues of around NZ$400 million. During this time, he was a member of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Group responsible for industry matters.

In 1982, Mr Hawkins joined Dominion Breweries and was appointed CEO in 1987. He was also a director of Magnum Corporation Ltd and a number of joint venture and partly owned companies.

Since 1990, Mr Hawkins has been a business consultant for New Zealand and overseas companies, including a time as Managing Director of Fletcher Challenge’s steel group.

Mr Hawkins holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science degrees and is a registered Chartered Accountant.
