New Chain Of Food Stores To Launch On Saturday

The first of more than 20
Woolworths stores at Gull fuel outlets will be officially
launched this Saturday morning at Lake Rd in Rotorua.
Many opening specials and give-aways will be on offer to mark the occasion, including some of the cheapest petrol prices in the country.
From 11am until 2pm on Saturday, Gull (which yesterday cut its already extremely competitive petrol prices by two cents across the board) will be selling petrol ten cents below its current pump price.
This offer will be renewed for one hour every day until Friday 29 June at "surprise" times to be announced on a local radio station.
At 10am on Saturday Rotorua Mayor Grahame Hall will perform the official opening ceremony with Geoff Cassin, Category Manager of Woolworths at Gull.
Mr Cassin says the new Lake Rd store has a full range of groceries covering all the supermarket categories plus produce, meat, hot chicken, hot bread and other bakery products, food to go and coffees.
Automotive products are also be stocked. Pricing is at supermarket levels and the store will trade around the clock.
Similar stores will open progressively at other Gull locations over the next few months.
Woolworths (NZ) Ltd operates 83 Woolworths, Big
Fresh and Price Chopper supermarkets throughout the country.
Gull Petroleum has over 100 service stations in Western
Australia in addition to its New Zealand
outlets.
