Finalists selected for Deloitte/Management magazine Top 200 Awards
Auckland.
6 November, 2001. Finalists in each of the seven categories
of the annual Deloitte/Management magazine Top 200 Awards
have been announced, ahead of the gala dinner on 29 November
at which the best performing company and executive of the
year will be divulged.
In line for the 2001 title of Deloitte/Management magazine Executive of the Year are John Loughlin, CEO of meat company, Richmond Ltd; Keith McLaughlin, managing director of Baycorp Holdings; and Craig Norgate, chief executive officer of newly created dairy giant, Fonterra.
Deloitte/Management magazine Company of the Year finalists are Christchurch-based fashion retailer, Hallenstein Glasson; Australasian jewellery company Michael Hill International; and a repeat finalist from the same award category last year, Sky City Ltd.
Finalists for the SAP Best Corporate Strategy Award are Fisher & Paykel; Frucor Beverages, and the Port of Tauranga.

In an associated award category, three young business people have been selected as finalists to vie for the title of NZIM Young Executive of the Year. They are:

leadership & Change Management, EDS New Zealand;
Simon
Taylor, Brewery Manager, Lion Breweries South;
Richard
Templer, Team Manager, Industrial Research.
Finalists
for the Top 200 award categories are evaluated to set
criteria and selected from the Top 200 New Zealand-based
public listed companies.
The judges for this year’s Top 200 category and Emerging Enterprise Awards are:
Bill Foster, Managing Director of the New Zealand Stock Exchange and a director of the Exchange’s Index Management company for TeNZ;
Alison Paterson, Chair, District Health Board of New Zealand, Waitemata District Health Board and Landcorp;
Roger Kerr, director and joint shareholder of Asia-pacific Risk Management Ltd and a corporate advisor on financial risk and treasury management.
