NZ Businesses Get A Helping Hand Into E-Business
Just out: a CD-ROM guide to help businesses get into "e".
A recent survey of local firms* found a low level of participation in e-business. A guide, launched this week, should encourage more businesspeople to take the plunge online.
The Unlimited e-Business Guide, published by Unlimited Media, explains in plain English the essential pieces in the online business puzzle from planning, technology and choosing a web designer, to human resources, and marketing, all from a New Zealand perspective.
Unlimited e-Business Guide business manager Alec Brown says the guide will prompt New Zealand business people to begin investigating going online, and assist those already taking the first steps. "Many business people are put off the idea of taking their businesses online because it seems so complicated and risky. And many wonder at the return they might expect from investing in taking their businesses online."
"This guide will dispel much of the fear, uncertainty and doubt surrounding taking a business online - the guide will provide many readers with a great starting point for taking their first steps into e-business."
In addition, the CD-ROM carries a wide range of supplementary resources, including: the full text of the Ministry of Economic Development's E-Commerce - "A Guide for New Zealand Business; a wide range of case studies from businesses succeeding with e-Business; articles on e-business related topics from a range of sources including Unlimited, Internet Magazine, PC World and CIO (US); and software including applications, demos, utilities and more.
The e-Business Guide is included with the March issue of Unlimited magazine and will be on sale, via the Unlimited web site (see unlimited.co.nz/ebusinessguide) for $29.95 plus $3p&p.
