Shopping to a $100,000 budget
May 6, 2002
A budget-conscious Putaruru household shopper with a family and a cat has won $100,000 first prize in last night’s (Sunday, May 5) weekly Kachingo! draw.
The Woolworths Putaruru shopper spent $183.19 last Tuesday (April 30) and paid by cheque. Clues as to the identity of the winner are in the shopping basket.
Items include Whiskas cat food, a 12 pack of salt and vinegar chips, a 180-minute No Frills blank video cassette, two 30-pack size six First Choice eggs and a range of other First Choice and No Frills products.
So, if you shopped at Woolworths Putaruru last Tuesday and have a Kachingo! ticket with the game-line numbers 03, 07, 14, 16, 17, 23 and the power number 05, you are $100,000 richer. The draw date on the ticket is midnight Sunday May 5.
Kachingo! managing director Mary Vance says there were 26 second prize winners who each receive $1,000, as well as 648 third prize and 5,382 fourth prize winners. The total value of prizes in last night’s draw was $165,870.
To win a second prize, your ticket has to have five game line numbers and the power number. For third you need four game line numbers and the power number and for fourth, three game line numbers and the power number.
Ms Vance urged shoppers to check their Kachingo! tickets regularly. “With the new weekly format, those draws come round pretty quickly,” she says.
Ticket numbers can be checked at any Kachingo! partner store, online at www.kachingo.co.nz, on Teletext or by phoning 0900 Kachingo.
Woolworths stores have issued all four $100,000 weekly prize winning tickets since Kachingo! introduced the weekly format at the beginning of April.
Woolworths Putaruru has issued two previous Kachingo!-winning tickets – both for $1,000 – one of which is still waiting to be claimed.
