TelstraClear Launches Innovative Tolls And Internet Package

TelstraClear has launched of its innovative 'CHAT 'n SURF' package for residential customers. Customers taking up 'CHAT 'n SURF' are charged a minimum of $30.00 each month for tolls and get 30 hours free Internet access.

TelstraClear's Head of Residential and Small Business Sales Steve Jackson says 'CHAT 'n SURF' is the first bundled tolls and Internet package of its type in New Zealand.

"We are constantly listening to our customers. We understand they have a choice. While New Zealanders have a passion for innovation and early adoption, people don't change for the fun of it. There has to be a reason.

"We're in the business of providing that reason through innovative products and services. 'CHAT 'n SURF' has been specifically designed with this in mind.

" 'CHAT 'n SURF' customers who spend more than $30 per month on tolls will simply pay for their national and international toll calls as usual and will receive 30 hours of free dial-up Internet access via CLEAR Net. Customers who spend less than $30 per month on tolls will also receive 30 hours of free Internet access, and will be charged a 'top up' to bring their toll spend up to $30," said Mr Jackson.

In either case, for Internet use, 'CHAT 'n SURF' customers get five free email addresses, support for Mail and News clients, helpdesk support via CLEAR Net customer service and waived set-up charges of $34.95 inclusive of GST for new CLEAR Net customers. After 30 hours, extra Internet use will be charged at $2.50 per hour inclusive of GST.

The offer is available to TelstraClear toll customers on a residential pricing plan. It is not available to customers with TelstraClear phone line rental or with a Paradise Internet plan. 'CHAT 'n SURF' terms and conditions apply.
