Trade New Zealand Appoints Chief Information Officer
Auckland, August 20, 2002 - Trade New Zealand
has announced the appointment of Hans Frauenlob to a new
position of Chief Information Officer.
Mr Frauenlob was previously the acting Chief Information Officer and his new role includes responsibility for Trade New Zealand’s IT operations team, project management and managing its internet presence.
Mr Frauenlob also says he is looking forward to being involved in the ongoing development of Trade New Zealand’s e-business program.
“Later this year we will be launching our e-business programme, a huge undertaking that will see more of Trade New Zealand’s services moved online to allow us to serve exporters even better and promote New Zealand’s trade to a worldwide audience,” he says.
“This is an exciting time to be leading the organisation’s IT strategy, and delivering value to clients through our global network of 37 offices.”
Mr Frauenlob has also worked as a consultant with Certus Consulting, and while with Cardinal Banking Technologies was a project manager for ASB Bank’s internet banking system, Fastnet.
His career also includes a position as the information systems manager for the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball club.
His sporting interests include curling. Mr Frauenlob has been a member of the New Zealand national team since 1997 and has competed in two world-curling championships.
