Credit Payment Terminals Certified for Malaysia

Cadmus Credit Payment Terminals Certified for Malaysian Market

Cadmus Technology Limited (NZSE: CTL) today advised that it had achieved bank certification for its payment terminals in Malaysia with two of Malaysia’s leading banks.

Bumiputra Commerce Bank and May Bank have certified that the Cadmus CP01CR EFTPOS terminal complies with the banks standards, thereby meeting the requirements for use in the Malaysian market for both debit and credit transactions.

“This international certification is important for Cadmus and follows our announcement, last year, of an agreement to supply Paysys International (Malaysia) Ltd with 1,000 CP01CR Credit Card and EFTPOS terminals,” says Pat McCammon, International Sales and Marketing General Manager of Cadmus Technology Ltd. “As a result the new CP01CR terminals will enable Paysys to capture a greater share of the fast-growing Malaysian merchant and bank markets.”

It is anticipated that other Malaysian banks will also complete certification of the Cadmus products allowing the Cadmus products to be sold into the wider Malaysian EFTPOS market which is estimated to be similar in size to the New Zealand market with approximately 15,000 units P.A. being installed.

The CPO1CR terminals are highly secure PIN entry device designed to interconnect to the Cadmus range of payment terminals, as well as the ASP servers provided by Cadmus. The product is undergoing the EMV certification process for the new generation of smart card products being promoted by banks world-wide.
