Certified Organics Announces European Progress
Certified Organics ANNOUNCES further EUROPEAN
PROGRESS
Statement made by Dr Earl Stevens, Chairman, Certified Organics Limited
Certified Organics has signed letters of intent for the marketing and distribution of its Organic Interceptor™ range of products with three European companies.
The companies - Swiss-based company Intrachem, covering Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal and Greece; Afaplant handels Gmbh of Austria; and Spiess-Urania Chemicals Gmbh, Germany – represent a significant growth opportunity for Certified Organics.
Certified Organics is also currently considering distribution proposals for the UK and France and is close to concluding a distribution agreement for Japan with a view to launching Organic InterceptorÔ in February 2003.
Spiess-Urania, based in Hamburg, Germany, has advised it will be working closely with authorities to fast-track the registration of Organic Interceptor™. Company representatives will be visiting New Zealand in November to conclude the detailed distribution agreement.
The European market represents approximately 60% of the global market for organic produce, worth over $50 billion and growing at a rate of 20% annually. There is significant interest in non-chemical weed control throughout Europe, particularly in urban areas.
Earlier this year,
Certified Organics exchanged a letter of intent with a Dutch
based company to market and distribute its products
throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
