Media release 13 December 2002

New President for Business NZ

Air New Zealand senior executive Terry Arnold has been elected President of Business NZ, succeeding the organisation's founder President Doug Marsh

Mr Arnold, currently also the President of EMA (Northern), has held a variety of roles with employer organisations nationally and internationally.

In 1999 he was Chairman and Lead Negotiator for the International Employers' Delegation in Geneva for tripartite negotiations dealing with the deregulation and privatisation of transport.

Mr Arnold has been a member of the ACC Employer Reference Group and is a trustee of the NZ Airline Pilots' Mutual benefit Fund.

He has been involved in many top-level labour market and employment relations negotiations.

Mr Arnold says Business NZ will continue its path of promoting a common vision for New Zealand's future growth.
