HP Supports New Zealand Innovation Through Investment
Regatta 2003
AUCKLAND, January 28, 2003 - HP New Zealand has partnered with Investment New Zealand and the Technology Investment Network to bring prominent international business leaders and Kiwi innovators to the Investment Regatta 2003 in Auckland next month.
The Regatta, organised by Investment New Zealand, will provide a forum for international and local investors to explore opportunities for partnerships and investment in a growing wealth of Kiwi innovation.
It will also showcase exemplary Kiwi businesses while a number of the world's wealthiest and most influential people are in Auckland for the America's Cup 2003.
Russell Hewitt, Managing Director HP New Zealand
is excited about what this event means for New Zealand
business. "We believe that New Zealanders possess the
know-how and the 'can-do' attitude that turn great ideas and
technologies into innovation and global business
opportunities. The Investment Regatta 2003 allows us to
continue our commitment to the evolution of Kiwi innovation
and excellence," he says. HP New Zealand already assists
local initiatives like The Icehouse, an Auckland-based
business incubator, KiwiStartUp.net and the Technology
Investment Network, which support dozens of New Zealand
start-up companies each year. HP also works with NZ ICT
companies to open up offshore opportunities. Russell
Hewitt is confident about the future of New Zealand's
brightest business stars. "With great ideas, technology and
people, everything is possible", he says.
