The Chairman of Shell New Zealand, Lloyd Taylor, today announced the appointment of Mr Paul Zealand to the position of General Manager, Shell Todd Oil Services (STOS) effective 25 March 2003.

“Paul has exceptional credentials and experience to lead STOS into the next stage of its evolution, to become the operator of choice for a multiplicity of exploration and production joint ventures, Dr Taylor said.

“He is currently the Brent Area Asset Leader in Shell UK Expro. A mechanical engineer by background, he has 21 years of diverse experience in Shell, working in the oil products (OP), Gas/LNG as well as the exploration and production (EP) businesses. Prior to his current role, he was the Change Project Leader tasked with improving Expro organisational effectiveness. He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.

Paul Zealand replaces Chris Beath who will retire in April 2003, after 25 years of Royal Dutch/Shell Group employment.

“I congratulate Paul on his appointment. At the same time, I take the opportunity to thank Chris Beath for his extensive service to the Shell Group, on behalf of which I extend best wishes for a happy retirement,” Dr Taylor concluded.

STOS is a stand alone company, jointly owned by Shell New Zealand and Todd Energy, but is operated under the umbrella of the Royal Dutch/Shell group on a day to day basis.
