Cadmus Continues Australian Charge

APAC market base exceeds 15,000 terminals

Cadmus Technology Limited (NZSE: CTL) today announced an agreement to supply its new Cadmus EFTPOS terminals and pinpads to Australian Company, Card Services Australia Pty Ltd (CSA).

The agreement, worth approximately NZ$2.7 million, will see Cadmus supply CSA with its new Cadmus CPO2 SCR Pin Pad – complete with EMV (Europay, Mastercard, Visa) capability – and also provide the Company with its AC4500G Touch Terminal, customised to offer the merchant mobile phone top up, bill pay and CRM capability.

The order is Cadmus’ fifth into the Australian market, and will be delivered to CSA over the next 12 months. Further orders may result as rollout occurs.

“We are extremely pleased to announce CSA – leaders in the provision of payment solution terminals to merchants in Australia – has committed to a contract to buy New Zealand developed and manufactured Cadmus product,” says Pat McCammon, Cadmus’ General Manager of International Sales and Marketing.

“The CSA agreement demonstrates that Cadmus is further solidifying its position within the Australia EFTPOS market and the wider Asia Pacific region. This is primarily due to our proven technical, industry and service expertise which we can deliver – along with the scale economies from producing at our own manufacturing facilities here in New Zealand.”

This order, combined with other existing orders, will see Cadmus’ market base of locally developed terminals reach in excess of 15,000 terminals across the Asia Pacific region.

“After conducting an extensive search of payment solutions products, we chose Cadmus Technology on the basis of superior technology, product offering and the Cadmus ability to support our value added program,” says Gary Foster, Managing Director, CSA Pty Ltd. “The agreement will enable us to continue providing quality hardware and technical solutions for our increasing merchant customer base across Australia.”

The Cadmus AC4500G is a standalone multipurpose terminal with a high-resolution touch panel and backlit graphics display. Built-in Internet connectivity allows for fast loading of programs and other value added services including advertising, promotions and email.

The CP02 SCR pinpads are highly secure PIN entry device designed to interconnect to the Cadmus range of payment terminals. The pinpad is also EMV compliant and enabled to meet the needs of the new generation of smart card products being promoted by banks world-wide.
