Waitakere City Shopping Gets Even Better

Waitakere City Shopping Gets Even Better

Westfield and The Warehouse are pleased to announce that The Warehouse will open a new store in Westfield WestCity.

The community of Waitakere will benefit from a relocated and enlarged “The Warehouse” store.

Moving from their located premises in Catherine Street to a new Westfield WestCity 6,000sq.m.store, The Warehouse is expected to open in 2004.

The Warehouse says it is pleased to be able to better serve shoppers with the new store, and extended offer.

Ian Hartshorne, National Property Manager says, “The Warehouse is excited about the move as it will not only give us the space we need to better serve our customers but also enable us to become part of a vibrant shopping precinct”.

The Warehouse move follows the granting of resource consent by Waitakere City to expand Westfield WestCity to accommodate the new store.

The Mayor for Waitakere, Mr Bob Harvey welcomed the move as it “will reinforce Henderson as the Heart of the City for the Waitakere”.

Westfield Director, Mr John Widdup said today, “Westfield WestCity is a key commercial precinct for Waitakere and with the growth the city is experiencing it is important for retail facilities to reinforce the heart of the city”.

On completion of The Warehouse, Westfield WestCity will boast Farmers; Big Fresh Supermarket; Village Force Cinemas; over 130 stores; 550 seat foodcourt; and over 1500 car parks.
