Positive Attitudes To Business Promoted
Applications are being sought from innovative projects that promote positive attitudes towards business success and entrepreneurship.
A total of $1.7 million is being made available for projects designed to develop an enterprising culture, from Industry New Zealand’s Enterprise Culture and Skills Activities Fund.
The Fund is a key component of Industry New Zealand's strategy to promote attitudes, values and skills that support entrepreneurial activity and business success in New Zealand.
The contestable Fund is aimed at New Zealanders developing enterprising skills and attitudes. This includes the development of an enterprising culture across the community, including employers, employees, young people and groups in the community and in education.
The Fund awards grants for projects both inside and outside of school and curriculum-based programmes.
“Innovation and entrepreneurship are essential for our future economic prosperity and it is important that we get that message through to primary school children as well as established businesses,” said Industry New Zealand Acting Marketing Manager Julian Moore.
“Encouraging New Zealanders of all ages to have a positive attitude towards business success is an important part of building a culture that positively supports entrepreneurial activity and business growth.”
Projects of all sizes seeking up to a total of $300,000 and that can also demonstrate 25% private sector contribution, can be considered. Applications under the Enterprise Culture and Skills Activities Fund close on Friday 4 July.
