CAANZ Executive Director Resigns
Executive Director of the Communication Agencies Association, Lynne Clifton, has resigned and plans to move to Canada for business and personal reasons in mid-July.
Clifton says “It is exactly three years since I started at the 3A’s with the objective to restructure and re-brand the organisation. It has been an amazing, exciting and rewarding time. We have achieved nearly 30% membership growth and raised the profile of the organisation, as well as making it more relevant and valuable to our members through increased management resource and activities.”
“There has never been a more important time for the industry to be united and cohesive”, Clifton commented. “Advertising is one of the most scrutinised aspects of business and already this year we have faced threats to our freedom to advertise prescription medicines and treat foods on top of which we have also had a review into liquor advertising.”
Clifton cites the successful launch of the EFFIE© Awards in September last year as a highlight of her time at CAANZ.
President of CAANZ, Marty O’Halloran said that Clifton has “worked tirelessly on behalf of the industry. CAANZ is a more robust, energetic and vibrant organisation thanks to her vision and enthusiasm.”
O’Halloran said that a recruitment process had been agreed by the CAANZ Board, though a replacement announcement would be a few weeks away.
