New Zealand Trade and Enterprise GENERAL MANAGERS appointed
New Zealand Trade And Enterprise Ceo Tim Gibson Has Appointed A Senior Executive Team Of Seven General Managers At The New Zealand Government’s Trade And Economic Development Agency, Formed On 1 July From The Merger Of Trade New Zealand And Industry New Zealand.
They are (in alphabetical order): Jo Bransgrove – General Manager Corporate Jo Bransgrove commenced her career in finance (Price Waterhouse, IBM) and then moved into management roles (Commerce Commission, CEO Cancer Society). In December 2002 she returned from 15 months in Argentina and joined Industry New Zealand as Chief Financial Officer before becoming Acting GM Corporate. Ms Bransgrove is a chartered accountant and holds an MBA, BCA and Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Management. She will be based in Wellington.
Peter Healy – General Manager Regional Economic Development Peter Healy has extensive experience in local economic development having managed projects and agencies in New Zealand and the Pacific. He has been the Director of a number of commercial and not for profit agencies associated with local economic development. Mr Healy was Trade Commissioner to India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Bangladesh between 1997 and 2002 and more recently the Horticulture and Organics Sector Specialist at Trade New Zealand. He has a BA and a Bachelor of Town & Regional Planning. He will be based in Wellington.
Jonathan Kings – General Manager Strategy Jonathan Kings joined Industry New Zealand as part of the original establishment team in June 2000. He has held a number of roles within the organisation, most recently Acting Chief Executive. Prior to that he was General Manager Marketing and Corporate. Before joining Industry New Zealand Mr Kings was Chief Executive of rbz Group, a Trans-Tasman Strategy Consulting Company, an executive in the electricity industry and a lawyer in private practice.
Peter Lennox – General Manager Organisation Development Peter Lennox has a background in biotechnology, trade and foreign direct investment. He was formerly Director of Biotechnology for Industry New Zealand. Prior to that he worked in the United States and Europe and held various Senior Director positions for Scottish Enterprise. Mr Lennox’s experience in the public and private sectors (food and beverage) includes mergers and change management. Mr Lennox has an MBA from Glasgow University, Scotland as well as a Masters of Science (Edinburgh) and a BSc. (Queens). He will be based in Auckland where he will also continue in the role of Biotechnology Director for NZTE.
Rod MacKenzie – General Manager Market Services Rod MacKenzie joined Trade New Zealand in 1996 and has held a number of senior roles, most recently Acting Chief Executive. Prior to that he was General Manager Marketing, having returned from five years as Senior Trade Commissioner for North America. Before joining Trade New Zealand Mr MacKenzie was Chief Executive of The New Zealand Way Ltd, a public relations and marketing consultant and Director of Network Communications NZ. He will be based in Auckland.
Neil Maxwell – General Manager Sectors Neil Maxwell has considerable experience in the public and private sectors in New Zealand and overseas, including previous roles as a partner at Ernst & Young and Managing Director Ernst and Young Management Consultants Ltd in Hong Kong. He was previously General Manager Industry Development at Industry New Zealand. Dr Maxwell has also been Vice President directing the strategic alliance between CGEY and Oracle Corporation in Asia Pacific and Deputy Director of Planning and Forecasting for the Ministry of Energy. He has a PhD in Systems Engineering and has attended the Senior Executive Programme at Stanford University. He will be based in Wellington.
Julian Moore
– General Manager Marketing Julian Moore joined Industry New
Zealand in March 2002 as Marketing Manager after a career in
financial services both in New Zealand and the United
Kingdom. His previous role was General Manager, Marketing at
AXA. He has also held the roles of GM Marketing for
Colonial and Director of Marketing for Prudential. He has a
BA Hons in French and German and is an Associate of the
Chartered Institute of Bankers in the United Kingdom. He
will be based in
Wellington.
