Two great harbours for a two-for-one fare
Two great harbours for a two-for-one fare
San Francisco or Auckland - which harbour is the more spectacular?
Passengers aboard the P&O Cruises superliner Aurora will be better placed than most to decide. They sail from one port to the other during the ship's exotic 15-night voyage across the Pacific early next year.
To help more passengers experience both harbours first hand, P&O Cruises has released two-for-the-price-of-one fares. New Zealanders will be able to join the Pacific segment of Aurora's 'round the world in 80 days' cruise for half price.
"The new low fares on
Aurora mean you can save up to nearly $5,000
The luxurious 76,000-ton Aurora
will sail under San Francisco's famous Golden Gate Bridge on
January 31 on a tropical sojourn to Hawaii, American Samoa,
Fiji and then to on Auckland arriving on February 16, 2004.
Aurora will also call in at Australian ports Sydney,
Brisbane and Darwin before continuing her circumnavigation
to homeport Southampton. Just three years old and
capable of carrying 1,900 passengers and 850 crew, P&O
Cruises' contemporary-styled Aurora stretches for more than
a quarter of a kilometre and stands 14 storeys high.
Named after the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora has
four decks of cabins with private balconies and two-storey
penthouse suites connected by internal spiral staircases.
Onboard features include a piano suite, complete with a baby
grand piano, golf simulator, 3,600 pieces of artwork, a
West-End style theatre, five restaurants and cafés, 12 bars,
four dance floors, a champagne bar, chocolate and coffee bar
and three swimming pools, including one with a retractable
dome cover.
"Our new two-for-one deal makes cruising
on a spectacular superliner like Aurora even more affordable
for New Zealanders seeking a relaxing holiday at sea," Mr
Smith says. Bookings and cruise brochures are
available from travel agents or by calling the P&O Cruises
freephone on 0800 441 766 or by visiting the company's
website at www.pocruises.co.nz Footnote: Cabins for the 15-night cruise were
available from $6435 per person and are now available from
$3217 per person. Fares are cruise only, based on double
accommodation and include all main meals onboard and port
charges.
