Proven Harcourts Achiever Takes On Vital Auckland Role

A new appointment has been made to the Auckland area as part of Harcourts’ focus on growth in that market. Mark Moynihan has been appointed as Business Development Manager for the Northern region covering Harcourts offices throughout Auckland and Northland.

Mr Moynihan joined Harcourts in 1997 and has most recently managed the sales teams of one of Harcourts leading franchises in the popular Mt Maunganui/Tauranga area.

CEO of Harcourts New Zealand, Bryan Thomson, said Mr Moynihan not only brought proven expertise in recruitment, auction, and progressive management, his commitment to the Harcourts team and culture would play a vital part in the Auckland market.

Mr Moynihan began his sales career as a 16 year old in Melbourne. He joined real estate in 1989, notching up an impressive auction management track record with other real estate companies before joining Harcourts in Tauranga in 1997 as an auction coordinator.

Two years later he became sales and marketing manager/auctioneer for Harcourts Taupo, before moving to the same roll at the Mt Maunganui office in July 2001.

Mr Moynihan said, “I see huge opportunity in Auckland with as many as 15 new office locations identified for opening. These new offices will open as we source people of the ability and commitment we desire.”

Mr Thomson added, “Harcourts is continuing its drive to be represented in every viable marketplace in New Zealand and we intend to ensure that Harcourts is a market leader in every marketplace we have a presence.
