Boating New Zealand Presents New Look
Boating New Zealand Presents New Look
One of New Zealand’s premier magazines, Boating New Zealand, is revitalising its cover and page layout to produce a fresh, new look starting from its September issue.
A new masthead and change in size is the first indication of the Boating New Zealand refinements, says editor Rebecca Hayter.
“Inside, glossy editorial pages, strong images and a layout that better works for the reader will further complement editorial content, for people who are actively and passionately involved in boating.
“Boating New Zealand has always been a market leader and it’s achieved that by evolving as the market evolves – but this is certainly the most significant change and involves all aspects of the magazine. What won’t alter is the strong editorial direction that is the backbone of our publication,” Ms Hayter said.
High-profile retail displays will promote the design changes and for the first three issues, readers will have the opportunity to win a sailing holiday in Tonga worth $10,000.
Nielsen Media Research survey figures just released show that Boating New Zealand’s readership has increased 22.9% year-on-year, bringing it to an all-time high of 193,000. Circulation has also increased to 16,585. The magazine has also experienced strong growth in the Australian market following its launch there in 2002.
Boating New Zealand was launched in 1986,
providing features, boat reviews, domestic and overseas news
as well as regular contributions from expert columnists. It
also supports and promotes New Zealand’s internationally
recognised marine business. For further information:
