Business speakers to attend Thrive Wellington

Top line-up of business speakers to attend Thrive Wellington

A day-long event for the region’s business community and “would be” entrepreneurs is being held in Wellington later this month which aims to encourage business development, innovation and growth.

Organised by the Employers and Manufacturers Association, Thrive Wellington’s focus is to motivate and enhance business success through a programme of key note speakers who are industry leaders and experts.

Paul Winter, Chief Executive of the Employers & Manufacturers Association says it’s not your usual “run-of-the-mill” business seminar. “Thrive Wellington will give business people from the whole region including Nelson, Marlborough, Wairarapa and Palmerston North the opportunity to learn from local and international heroes who will give practical tips, explain proven ideas and lead inspirational activities on how to grow a business of any size.”

Speakers on the programme include:

Tab Baldwin, Coach of the Tall Blacks Geoff Ross, Founder, 42 Below Vodka Denis Orme, Chief Executive Officer, Bartercard Darren White, Partner, Ernst & Young David Black, International car seat exporter, Racetech The Tamaki Brothers, Founders of the Tamaki Maori Village Andrea Moore, Fashion Designer Hon. Kerry Prendergast, Mayor of Wellington City Hon Jim Anderton, Minister of Economic Development Brian Edwards, Master of Ceremonies.

Thrive Auckland was held earlier in the year and attracted 1,200 people, the largest business event of its kind so far this year. One attendee described it as: “I didn’t expect to be interested in every speaker. It just gave me a vision and that extra bit of encouragement that I don’t believe I could have found elsewhere.” Thrive events are also planned for Hamilton and Christchurch.

Thrive Wellington is being held at the Westpac St James Theatre on October the 16th. To register visit www.thrivewellington.co.nz or call (04) 470 9944.
