Blumsky Builds Business

Blumsky Builds Business

The former Mayor of Wellington Mark Blumsky says potential entrepreneurs from the lower North Island have grown weary of attending run-of-the-mill business seminars.

Now Chief Executive of Wellington’s Creative HQ or business incubator he says ThriveWellington is an excellent opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to be inspired by local success stories that will deliver an honest but uplifting perspective on new business development.

Organised by the Employers and Manufacturers Association, ThriveWellington is a motivational day-long event for the region’s business community which aims to foster business development, innovation and growth.

Its focus is enhancing business success through a programme of key-note speakers who are industry leaders and experts.

“ThriveWellington is a chance for budding entrepreneurs to see real people, telling real stories which beats a text book any day. Hearing about local business success stories first hand, and gaining a whole realm of practical tips and suggestions from a smorgasbord of quality talent, is a great way to learn and be inspired,” says Mr Blumsky.

“Both the event and Creative HQ stand for encouraging and accelerating entrepreneurship through innovation and technology.”

ThriveWellington is being held at the Westpac St James Theatre on October the 16th.
