Peter Hart Appointed Public Trust Central Manager

Peter Hart Appointed Public Trust’s Central Regional Manager

Public Trust recently appointed Peter Hart as its Central Regional Manager with responsibility for the leadership of its eleven Central Region Customer Centres. This is a newly established role and the appointment took effect on 3 November.

Public Trust’s central region Customer Centres are located in Wellington, Masterton, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Porirua, Paraparaumu, Levin, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Hawera and New Plymouth. Peter will be based in Public Trust’s Wellington Corporate Office on Lambton Quay.

Peter joined Public Trust in 1999 as manager of the Dunedin Customer Centre. In 2002 he was appointed Sales Manager for the Wellington region. His involvement in the Trustee industry spans 22 years, prior to joining Public Trust, Peter worked for the Insolvency and Trustee Service in Dunedin.

Peter was educated at St Pauls High School in Dunedin and has studied part-time at Otago University. He lives in Ngaio with his wife, Janette, and their three children Rebecca, James and Thomas.

An enthusiastic rugby supporter, Peter admits that since his moving to Wellington 18 months ago, he is still struggling with allegiance when it comes to which rugby team he supports.

Most of Peter’s leisure time is spent with his family. Other pursuits include mountain bike riding around the Capital’s hills and running.

Public Trust Chief Executive Pat Waite says, “Peter has a strong background in the trustee and estate planning services sector. His appointment is consistent with Public Trust’s commitment to further developing our expertise, expanding our current customer base in the region, and providing a wider range of services to existing customers.”
