Shell New Zealand Appoints New Chairman
Shell New Zealand Chairman Dr Lloyd Taylor today announced the appointment of Paul Zealand as Chairman of Shell New Zealand, effective from 1 December 2003.
Dr Taylor said that, as Shell’s New Zealand Chairman, Paul Zealand will continue to reinforce Shell New Zealand’s pursuit of a business path and approach, consistent with its Sustainable Development principles and in conformance with its globally acknowledged Statement of General Business Principles. This will ensure that Shell New Zealand remains a good corporate citizen.
“The role of Chairman of Shell New Zealand will be in addition to Mr Zealand’s current role as General Manager of Shell Todd Oil Services (STOS). In order to ensure there is no conflict of interest with his position as General Manager of STOS, the accountability for Shell’s upstream business will remain in Shell (Petroleum Mining) Ltd,” Dr Taylor said.
Paul Zealand started his career in
Shell in 1981and has held a number of senior Shell positions
in Oil Refining, Supply Operations, Strategy, LNG and
Exploration & Production parts of the business, and has
worked at various locations in Europe and Australia before
coming to New Zealand Mr Zealand moved to New Plymouth with
his family in March this year and will continue to be based
there.
