The Mackenzie Heritage Centre today unveiled its inspiring new brand at a ceremony on site in Tekapo.
Described as ".symbolic of tussock, signature like, flowing active and encouraging, and quite simply.stunning", the new brand will become the icon for the proposed Mackenzie Heritage Centre.
In conjunction with the new brand a tag line of Inspiring New Zealand has been developed. This tag line reflects the inspired nature of the project, the inspiring Mackenzie environment, the inspirational people and stories of the area, and the range of emotions these stories will convey.
The Mackenzie Heritage Centre is a $ 16.5 million dollar interactive experience revolving around seven compelling stories from the Mackenzie Country. The Heritage Centre will feature state of the art interpretive experiences that tell the stories of the place, the people, and the passion behind an area that 1.3 million visitors pass through every year.
Project Director Malcolm Anderson says: "This Heritage Centre is perfectly positioned to attract a growing market of domestic and international visitors who actively seek to interpret the stories behind the 'real ' New Zealand. This new brand will be a key plank in attracting these interactive travellers."
