Cereal Coming To McDonald's

CEREAL COMING TO McDONALD'S

McDonald's is introducing cereals onto its nationwide breakfast menu.

Hot on the heels of announcing a wider choice of children's Happy Meals, McDonald's has now moved to introduce two cereal options for breakfast diners.

From 16 December, Kellogg's Nutri--Grain and Kellogg's Just Right will be on sale, providing customers with greater choice.

The cereals will be served in single--serve Kellogg's bowl packs along with Anchor milk and will be available during breakfast hours (7--10:30am).

McDonald's CEO, Al Dunn, says McDonald's is introducing these popular cereals to its menu in response to customers' changing wants and needs.

"In listening to our customers, we understand it's important to provide New Zealanders with variety," says Mr Dunn. "By extending our menu options we aim to allow everyone who visits McDonald's the opportunity to eat according to their dietary requirements."

In addition to introducing breakfast cereal, McDonald's has recently extended its Happy Meal options to offer children and parents wider choice. Children's Anchor Mega Milk, Apple and Blackcurrant 25% Juice Drink, Pump mini water and Keri orange juice have recently been introduced, and moves are underway to lower the saturated fat level in fries.

"Our customers are asking for more options and that's what we're providing," says Mr Dunn.
