Farmers Trading Donates $65,000 To Flood Victims

The $65,000 raised by The Farmers Trading Company Limited’s flood victims’ support appeal, “Farmers for the Farmers”, has now been distributed.

The appeal, which was held over the last weekend in February, raised $35,000 that was then matched by a company donation of $30,000 . This money has now been distributed between a variety of Mayoral and Flood Relief Trust Funds and the Red Cross Flood Appeal.

The Farmers Trading Company Limited’s Group Managing Director, David Norman said it gave the company great pleasure to hand over the funds.

“The flood victims have now begun the clean up in earnest and we know that the sooner they receive funds to underwrite their efforts, the better. We hope the money we’ve helped raise will go some way towards helping them re-established their homes and lives,” Mr Norman said.
