Health IT cluster chair in start up company

The chair of the New Zealand Health IT cluster, Gavin Wright, has launched a new Australasian company based in Christchurch.

Fraame offers business solutions, particularly in the health and social care services sectors. It has offices in Christchurch and Sydney.

Gavin Wright says Fraame is a classic example of the Health IT cluster at work.

“I guess you could say I’m taking my own medicine! The cluster’s ultimate goal is to achieve outstanding growth for the New Zealand health IT sector through providing end users with integrated, interoperable solutions and mutual support for business development.

“Fraame is working to deliver solutions and services that will enhance an organisation’s ability to more effectively manage information,” Gavin says.

One of the company’s strengths is its experience in the health sector. Gavin has worked in the sector for over 12 years, both in New Zealand and internationally. His colleague leading the Australian operation, Denis Sullivan, is a well-respected industry consultant to the health and social care industry in Australia.
Denis has worked across the sector, from a position as Deputy CEO in a large Sydney hospital, to consulting on health technology issues for State and Commonwealth Government agencies.

To deliver the solutions required by Australasian organisations, Fraame Solutions has developed a partnership with established international company, FileVision USA.

American orthopaedic surgeon Roger Bhole and President/CEO of FileVision USA has invested in Fraame. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Canada and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr Bhole is involved in software development companies in the UK and US.

“I’m pleased to be supporting Gavin Wright’s new venture. His experience in the health sector in particular means that he understands the information needs of health organisations.

“Fraame’s expertise in both New Zealand and Australia makes it an attractive company to be involved in by providing a range of financial and other resources,” Dr Bhole says.
