$25M Auction Success for Harcourts’ Coastal Team

$25M in Auction Success for Harcourts’ Coastal Team

14 May 2004

Increased appreciation of the auction process by both property buyers and sellers has been key to achieving record success over the last financial year for Harcourts’ Mana-Kapiti-Horowhenua group of offices, according to group Principal, Mick Robbers. The offices settled $100 million more worth of property transactions than the previous financial year.

Mr Robbers said their offices in Levin, Otaki, Waikanae, Paraparaumu, Raumati, Paremata, and Whitby managed just over $25 million worth of property sales at auction since February this year, with $5.1 million from this week alone.

He noted auction was fast becoming a preferred method of sale for sellers and buyers because of its transparent nature, and also endorsed the recently released REINZ Auction Code of Practice as providing an even higher level of professionalism and public confidence.

As a result of their ongoing success, the group also dominated Harcourts’ Wellington Regional End of Year Awards last week taking the top office awards in its category as well as: Eight of the Top 20 Sales Consultants (with Ray Marshall No.1 and Suzanne Cottle No. 2) Top Rural Sales Consultant – Suzanne Cottle Top Auction Lister – Mike Carey Top Exclusive Lister – Ray Marshall Regional Rookie of the Year – Steven Holmes Golden Hammer Club Winner – Chris Kinvig

Mr Robbers said they had a clear mission statement of "committed to teamwork” which encompassed their own team members, their clients, and their service providers. And with their offices working in the residential, rural, lifestyle and increasingly commercial sectors in this popular Wellington coastal region, he was looking forward to another exceptional year ahead.
