Yummy Tummies buys Farmhouse Quality Foods

Yummy Tummies buys Farmhouse Quality Foods to Expand

Yummy Tummies announced today, they have purchased Farmhouse Quality Foods, an established complete meal service business, which has been established for over 15 years. Farmhouse Quality Foods is well known, in particular for servicing the elderly market, and also provides a home delivery service, as does Yummy Tummies. The purchase takes effect from 31 May 04.

As well as children enjoying Yummy Tummies meals, they have proved popular, in particular with a growing number of elderly customers. The elderly clients enjoy the natural taste that real potato and fresh meat cuts produce, and the purchase of this business, brings additional recipes and desserts to the menu, which Yummy Tummies has been considering for a while.

“The request from parents for healthy home cooked recipes and adult meals, has prompted Yummy Tummies to purchase Farmhouse Quality Foods, and the close location means a simple transition says Fran Hume, along with the ability to service both children and adults. The purchase is completely complimentary. We take pride in the fact that a lot of human input goes into our meals, as does Farmhouse Quality Foods, neither of us highly process the meals we make, and that makes all the difference to the taste”.

At this point in time, no changes will be made. However, Yummy Tummies may make some changes to the menu, as there are some similarities. Over the coming months, the Farmhouse Quality Foods name will become known as Yummy Tummies. It is an exciting time for Yummy Tummies, having withdrawn from Supermarket sales to focus on home delivery services. “It is hard work in retail says Fran Hume, especially for a smaller business, and our direct home and school sales, means we can offer a better price, and a larger selection of meals, it makes absolute sense”.

Yummy Tummies is also a contender in the SIAL Global Food Awards, currently being held in Paris. The results are expected to be released next week.
