Intel Expands Solution Services – Promotes Management Team
Intel Australia has appointed Pascal Grant as regional director, Australia and New Zealand for the Intel Solution Services centre (ISS) and promoted Leighton Philips to regional manager, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, for the Asia Pacific Solutions Group (APSG).
Grant joins Intel with more than 18 years IT experience, having held senior positions with SAP, Oracle, Sybase and Macromedia. He holds a bachelor degree in economics from Sydney University and a masters degree in education from Columbia University. He has also taught MBA classes in e-business and IT Strategy at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and the University of Technology Sydney.
Grant will be responsible for the managing and growing ISS, acting as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers as they evaluate and optimise investments in next generation Intel architecture.
“ISS is vitally important to Intel as it provides enterprises with a place to test the viability of Intel architecture on specific application sets. Pascal’s entrepreneurial and management skills will stand him in good stead as he grows the team and assists his customers to grapple with the complex architectural and IT strategy decisions required to meet their business objectives,” said Philip Cronin, general manager, Intel Australia and New Zealand.
In a separate move Leighton Philips has been promoted to regional manager - South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, for the APSG group. Philips joined Intel in 2000 as a business development manager and after driving large scale sales strategies into some of the countries’ biggest customers was promoted to lead the APSG group in Australia and New Zealand. He will now relocate to Bangkok to focus on this expanded role with a local replacement to be named at a later date.
