Classified Newspaper Ad Bookings Go Online
Fairfax New Zealand have announced the launch of Adstuff, an online booking system that enables classified advertisements to be placed in over 30 of Fairfax’s daily and community newspapers nationwide via the internet.
The site www.adstuff.co.nz offers classified advertisers the convenience of around the clock booking via the web and the ability to preview their newspaper ads online.
Fairfax Interactive’s general manager, Fiona Reid said they are expecting over the medium to long term a significant percentage of classifieds to be booked online. The online booking system means that bookings can be made for multiple Fairfax newspapers at one place and at one time, saving advertisers the hassle of placing individual bookings with each newspaper. Adstuff is available for most classified advertisements apart from Births, Deaths, Marriages, Adult Entertainment and Personals.
Classified ads can be placed online at Adstuff as well as in the newspaper for a small additional fee, making it a convenient tool for buyers as well as sellers. Potential buyers can search ads, generate shortlists and receive email alerts when new ads in categories they are interested in are posted on the site.
More…1/2 The cost of placing a newspaper classified ad via Adstuff is approximately the same as if the ad was placed directly with the newspaper. All bookings are pre-paid, with payment details transmitted via a secure server.
“The ability to book newspaper classified advertising via the internet has consistently been the most requested service since Stuff’s inception so we are delighted to be able to finally offer this service to our customers,” said Ms Reid. “It’s been two years in development and we hope our customers and newspapers benefit from this new booking solution.”
