First Joint NZ - Australian Property Conference

Monday 2nd August 2004

FIRST JOINT NEW ZEALAND - AUSTRALIAN PROPERTY CONFERENCE A HUGE SUCCESS SAY PRESIDENTS

The inaugural joint New Zealand Property Institute & Australian Property Institute's Property Conference was a huge success the Presidents of the New Zealand and Australia Property Institutes said today.

This follows the completion of the conference, with 37 people speaking, 560 registered to attend, and 675 attending the "Southern Muster" dinner, complete with horses and dogs.

New Zealand Property Institute President, Chris Seagar said today, "This was an excellent concept and conference. We were very pleased with the feedback we have had to date. We tried to stretch minds and provide useful information, and we achieved that. It was excellent to have our Australian friends there, especially after last week's rugby game. This conference was another important step in the development of unified property market practice between the two countries".

Australian Property Institute National President Clive Eastaugh said, "This was our first joint effort - we are very pleased with the outcome. There were excellent speakers, excellent and relevant issues addressed and it was great to have a mix of Australian and New Zealand property professionals. We do have a lot in common and can learn much from each other.
