InFocus Introduces New PC-Free Meeting Room Projector Latest LP600 includes breakthrough InFocus LitePort feature that expands offerings for business communication and shared learning environments

New Zealand, September 8, 2004 -InFocus® Corporation, the worldwide leader in digital projection technology and services, today introduced its newest meeting room projector, the InFocus LP®600. The new projector includes InFocus LitePort(tm), an embedded PC-Free Playback system that allows users to easily project .jpg images from a USB flash drive without a computer or CD drive.

The highly-portable InFocus LP600 offers a blend of power and mobility, in addition to the breakthrough feature that enables users to simply copy files onto a USB Flash drive and plug it into the InFocus LP600 to present their content without a computer.

InFocus also provides the InFocus LitePort Utility, which is software that can be used to easily convert documents and grids into high-quality .jpg images with one click in order to load on most industry standard USB flash drives.

The InFocus LP600 was developed based on extensive customer research that found that ease-of-use is a top concern for users. Therefore, it includes an entire suite of user-friendly features including an LCD display window that communicates on-going status information, colour-coded cables, simplified keypads, menus and remote controls. This is in line with the InFocus design philosophy, called Projectability(tm).

The InFocus LP600 features the latest generation DLP(tm) technology from Texas Instruments®, the DDP2000, 2000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 to provide powerful performance at an affordable price. Additionally, it has automatic vertical keystone and ceiling detection enabling it to be easily transported or installed in business, government or education settings.
