BP drops prices at pump
BP New Zealand today said an easing in the international prices for crude oil had allowed the company to drop its prices for petrol and diesel.
BP’s company owned sites have dropped the price of 91 and 96 octane petrol by two cents per litre and diesel by one cent per litre. The pump prices are now 123.9 for 91 octane, 128.9 for 96 and 83.9 for diesel.
BP Managing Director Peter Griffiths said the recent decline in world crude prices was a welcome relief, and BP was pleased to be able to promptly reflect the decrease in pump prices.
“This decrease comes after sustained record prices for crude oil and we are obviously hoping this downward trend continues.” Mr Griffiths said while the international market remained volatile, New Zealand consumers had shown patience and understanding as to the international factors that were driving fuel prices.
